If you’ve worked with me or any other graphic designer, chances are we’ve created some brand elements for you. In this post, I’m going to show you how you can easily add them to your Instagram stories so you can stick to an on-brand and cohesive presence on all your channels!
You’ll most likely have these brand elements as a png file, which means they have no background and makes it really easy to use them as stickers to add them anywhere you like.
Below you’ll find an easy two-step guide, but if you’re more of a visual learner watch this video:
If you have an iPhone, the easiest way to transfer your brand elements from desktop to mobile is through Airdrop. I recommend creating a separate folder within your photo album, so they’re readily accessible every time you want to use them.
Next, you’ll want to open Instagram to its story function just like you normally would (through the camera button on the top left corner in the Instagram app).
First, select any image you’d want to use as the background image for this story. Then, toggle back to your album with your brand elements and copy the element you want to add to your story. Go back into Instagram and it’ll magically pop up as a sticker on the bottom left for you to use!
Now you can place it wherever you like on your story, resize and rotate it like any other sticker you would grab from Instagram’s sticker settings. You can add your logo the exact same way – as long as it’s a png file.
Ps: This also works with adding branded gifs.
These are my quick few tips on how you can leverage your brand elements on social media to keep a cohesive brand experience for your clients and customers!
If you don’t have brand elements yet, it might be worth considering for the future! When looking to outsource more design work, ask your designer if they are included in the design package so you can use them for fun things like these on-brand Instagram stories. And if you work with me, you betcha they are included in my full service brand packages.
